ASTMF 792-08 security inspection kit, ZYK-F792-08 X-ray security box is used to calibrate and evaluate the performance level of X-ray screening systems by using multiple X-ray samples in nine different test areas.

To meet the requirements for testing complex X-ray systems, the manufacturing of the stepped wedges strictly complies with the standards set by FAA, TSA, the Canadian Transportation Agency, and DHS. Its development is aimed at fulfilling the enhanced multi-test X-ray testing standards, which basically replace the WG F792-88 standard and the WG F792-01 (e2) case. Each kit provides a sturdy custom design, with an injection-molded housing and protective foam blocks, kept in the proper position, regardless of the orientation of the case and the stepped wedges. All of our toolkits come with a one-year manufacturer's defect warranty.

ASTM Safety Testing Object & X-ray Testing Kit

X-ray imaging systems are used nationwide by domestic and military law enforcement, correctional and security agencies. These systems are employed at international borders, transportation facilities, government buildings and other locations. X-ray systems are used to detect hidden objects, including threats and contraband.
The NIST Security Technology Group (STG) recently led a project to revise and update the most important internationally recognized and accepted standards for the imaging performance of checkpoint X-ray systems. This document standard is known as ASTM F792, "Standard Practices for Assessing the Image Quality and Material Detection Capabilities of Security X-ray Systems", and is widely used worldwide to measure the image quality and material detection capabilities of such systems. This standard was developed in the 1980s and the 2017 revision led by the STG was the first major revision in over 15 years.
The revised standard now includes three different test subjects, each applicable to a distinct testing scenario. This significantly enhances the applicability and practicality of the previous standard that relied on a single test subject.
We are delighted to offer these three test kits, which follow the ASTM F792-88, ASTM F792-08 safety step wedge standards, and our own CCSP test kit. These are all integral parts of effective X-ray security screening systems.

The three revised test objects of ASTM-F792-17 can be described as follows:

F792-RT is a small test object used for routine testing of X-ray systems (RT) (such as daily tests to ensure the normal operation of the system). nbsp; This test subject is a modification of the F792-88 test subject. The F792-88 test subject has been withdrawn, but it is still being used in the industry for on-site verification of the imaging performance of the cabinet X-ray system.
The F792-HP test subject relies on human perception (HP) judgments for its scoring. This is essentially an upgrade of the previous F792-08 test subject and has undergone some significant improvements, especially in the material detection test.
The F792-OE test subject is designed for objective assessment (OE), that is, assessment using computer algorithms. The design of this test subject is different from that of RT and HP. RT and HP must be evaluated by humans. nbsp; The images of the F792-OE test subjects are evaluated by a set of standard image analysis algorithms defined in the standard. Therefore, the subjectivity or perceptual differences of humans will not affect the scoring of the OE test.
