Ultrasound Surface Temperature Test Phantom,NPL temperature rise test model

Mode:HKM-NPL2-37

Type:QA-Phantom

Contact:   ken@hkmedqc.com

The surface temperature test model can be used to test whether it complies with the surface temperature limitations of the ultrasonic transducer specified in IEC 60601-2-37 Ed 2.

The NPL surface temperature test module, uses a tissue-mimicking material based on agar (TMM), which is prepared strictly according to the formula given in IEC 60601-2-37 Ed 2. This material contains scattering particles and was initially developed as a test part for the European Doppler Ultrasound Framework Project.

Key Information

1. Standard Model: NPL 2-37
2. Full Name: Surface Temperature Test Phantom
3. Supporting Liquid: 11.9% Aqueous Glycerol Solution
4. Compliance Standard: IEC 60601-2-37

NPL temperature rise test model, the NPL surface temperature testing module is equipped with a silicone rubber skin imitation layer, with a wide range of thicknesses.
The dimensions of our standard cylindrical mold are approximately 11.0 cm ± 0.5 cm in diameter and 11.5 cm ± 0.5 cm in height. These dimensions, especially the height, can be customized according to customer requirements. We may be able to provide custom models to assist in evaluating the internal probe.
We can also offer non-scattering TMM based on gelatin that conforms to the IEC 62306 formula.
Regarding the NPL temperature rise test model in the UK, and other information about the NPL surface temperature test model:
Compliant with the requirements of IEC 60601-2-37 Ed 2.
Algin-based TMM: Sound velocity is approximately 1540 m/s, attenuation coefficient is approximately 0.5 dB/cm/MHz.
Gelatin-based TMM: Sound velocity is approximately 1540 m/s, attenuation coefficient is approximately 0.45 dB/cm/MHz.
