We designed and produced the KS107BQ line-surface double-target slice-thickness phantom (see Figure 5) based on the above knowledge in order to cooperate with the implementation of the revised standard GB10152.


KS107BQ slice thickness phantom is used to detect the pitch resolution in the thickness direction of the B-ultrasound probe, also called the sound beam slice thickness. Corresponding to the revised version of the national standard "B-Type Ultrasonic Diagnostic Equipment" (GB10152-2009), in addition to the diffuse reflection target stipulated in the standard, it also absorbs the latest international research results and practical experience in this area, and adds a line target The group's functions include: (a) used as a reference to determine the threshold gain state, so that the measurement conditions of slice thickness and axial and lateral resolution are the same, forming a complete set of data; (b) providing information on the pitch direction sound beam section Full picture; (c) Check the slice thickness value read from the surface target.KS107BQ Slice Thickness Phantom,KS107BQ Phantom

Shell Structure For KS107BQ phantom


The appearance of the KS107BQ phantom is shown in Figure 5. The four walls and bottom plate of the shell are made of plexiglass processing and bonding. The outer surface of the four walls is affixed with a mask, on which is printed the diagrams and relevant texts of the position of the surface target and the string target embedded in the 
phantom. There are two round holes with a diameter of 36mm on the bottom plate, and the outer surface is sealed with a rubber with excellent elasticity, which is used for liquid injection and air extraction during maintenance. The top cover uses 70μm thick polyester film as the acoustic window, and two thick red lines are drawn on it, which are used as the coupling position and placement angle of the probe during the detection operation.

Water tank frame of KS107BQ

It is a water tank that is bonded to the shell on the acoustic window so that it does not flow away when water is used as couplant. A piece of 10mm thick sponge is placed in the sink, covered with a black plexiglass cover, which is prepared to protect the acoustic window and should be stored properly. Place the sponge in the sink frame and cover with the protective cover when the phantom is not in use.


Internal Filling Material

The phantom is filled with standard ultrasonically Tissue-Mimicking(TM) Material
which simulates the acoustic properties of human soft tissue.The TM material meets the
requirement of standard GB10152. The Main parameters of the TM material are listed
above at the Main Parameter part.

 

Embedded Target System

(1) Scattering (diffuse reflection) target, as specified in GB10152 and IEC standards.
(2) Nylon string targets, lined up in the depth direction, similar to those in KS107BD.
