Disc Card
The disc card is a cylindrical body made of homogeneous rigid material. Its structure is shown in Figure A.1.
The material of the disc card should be the same as or similar to the radiation absorption characteristics of the object being tested. Steel, aluminum or plastic are recommended.
The diameter D of the disc card should be similar to the size of the object being tested or the absorption of radiation by the object.
The thickness H of the disc card should be at least 3 times the slice thickness T.
The parallelism of the upper and lower surfaces of the disc, the cylindricity of the disc and the roughness of the cylindrical side surface should be adapted to the testing requirements.
